Post by usenet » Sat Jul 04, 2009 9:46 pm

I have SBS2008 and Exchange 2007...

I have been journalling all emails into a public folder...

Hmm... I've rebooted the system a couple of times now, but no joy... :(

Verify that you haven't been journalizing the entire database and not
just by using a transport rule.

Hi Rich,

In Exchange Management Console, under Organisation Configuration, Hub
Transport I had 2 rules... 1 under transport rules I used to add a disclaimer
and the other under Journaling I used to copy every message to a public
folder... I deleted both rules and the disclaimers have stopped but not the
journaling... I don't think I did anything else when I set it up (a while ago
now)... How do I check if I journalised the whole database...?

Cheers
Rod

Check the property page of the database. Is there a jounal recipient
on the "General" tab?

Aha...! Top man...! I don't remember doing that, but I'm still a relatively
new convert from SBS2003 so anything's possible... :)

Thank you very much... Let me know when you're next in Sydney and we'll
share a slab of Coopers... :)

Cheers
