Changing User in AX 2009

Post by usenet » Thu Jul 02, 2009 1:18 pm

We are currently using Ax 3.0 and at startup open a form where the user
enters username and password. The username and password are validated
against Active Directory and if correct either continues login or changes
user and logs in. Since the the way AX 2009 handles user login is so
different, is there a way to do this.
Basically is there a way to use AX 2009 as a different user then the one
logged into windows?

Hi,

as far as i know the "old" authentication mechanism used in AX 3.0 is no
more available in/with AX 2009.

The only possibility to run AX as a different user then the logged on is to
use the windows command "runas".

Sincerely yours
