AOS not start successfully with Win Server 2008

Post by usenet » Fri Jul 03, 2009 7:33 am

Running Dynamics 5.0 on Win server 2008

After installing Backup Exec (a backup software) and then starting the
object server for Axapta it does not start and the event log gives first
Event ID 142:

Object Server Axapta: The directory "C:\Program Files\Axapta\\share\config"
does not exist or access to it has been denied by the operating system.

and then Event ID 143:

Object Server Axapta: The home directory for Axapta (C:\Program
Files\Axapta\) does not match the required structure or can not be accessed.
Please check installation, configuration and access rights.

Everything was working fine before the install of the Backup Exec.
Any insight ?

Hi,

with AX 3.0 i had a problem like you with Backup Exec.

Backup Exec has locked some of the files in the AX Application Folder.
This causes the error that the AOS cann't start becaus the needs to access
these files.

I am not really sure if you run in the same problem but i should be possible.
Please check if Backup Exec lockes some of the Ax Application files.
